The Crystal Run

I’ve finally got the cover art for my first ever YA book which will be published by Hodder Children’s next year. The story of Joe and Kaia is an adventure, where they have to complete a mission to save her home country. The idea had been rattling around in my head for years before I finally found the time and space to write it down, and I can hardly believe that it has actually become a real book. I know I’ve written 20 adult novels and 3 collections of short stories – but I feel as excited at seeing The Crystal Run as I did the day my first novel was published 18 years ago.

As a child and young adult I got immense pleasure out of reading. I hope that readers of The Crystal Run will get that same pleasure and excitement at turning the pages and wanting to know what happens next as I did.
